Founded on April 28, 1928, Garhwal Bhratri Mandal began as the sole social organization for the Uttarakhandi community in Mumbai. Over time, it has transformed into the leading representative body for Uttarakhandis in the city.

The organization has seen substantial growth in its membership, now exceeding a thousand individuals from diverse backgrounds. It serves as a vital unifying platform for the community, fostering connection and solidarity among its members.
