Initially founded as the primary social organization for the Uttarakhandi community in Mumbai, it has grown into a prominent and dynamic representative body for Uttarakhandis in the city. Today, the organization proudly comprises over a thousand life members, a testament to its enduring relevance and strong community ties.

The foundation of this esteemed organization was laid by visionary leaders, including the Late Govardhan Prasad, Late Master Pancham Singh, Late Veer Singh Rawat, Late Ishwaridutt Sharma, and Late Ghanshyam Singh Rawat. Their pioneering efforts and commitment continue to guide the organization’s mission and values.

Registered under the Societies Act of 1860 and the Public Trust Act of 1950, Garhwal Bhratri Mandal is dedicated to fostering unity, preserving cultural heritage, and serving the community through a diverse range of social, cultural, and charitable initiatives.
